"THE ARMADILLO" POETRY ZINE
This zine is a graphic depiction of the poem, "The Armadillo", by Elizabeth Bishop. Her prose details the paradoxical beauty and destruction of a lantern festival honoring a saint. The ethereal lanterns float through the sky only to set a hillside on fire, driving owls and armadillos out of their homes. To align with the poetic plot, the typography is whimsical, lyrical, and lively, mimicking the lanterns' swift movements and pulsating lights.
